The Syrian Coalition warns of “a massacre against 1,200 civilians by the Assad regime and the terrorist militias of Abu al Fadl al Abbas Brigade. These civilians have been detained by regime forces since Sunday at a checkpoint manned by the militias of Abu al Fadl al Abbas Brigade, located between the towns of Hujjaira and Yalda in rural Damascus. The Syrian Coalition adds that these acts of forced disappearance have been perpetrated by the Assad regime for many months against the Syrian people. The Assad regime promised the residents of Yalda safe exit of the besieged town, however, regime forces detained 1,200 people, including women and children, who were trying to get out of the town and whose fate is still unknown. The Syrian Coalition calls on the international community to “shoulder its responsibilities towards the Syrian people, and to pressure the Assad regime to immediately release all the detainees and prisoners, and to allow the entry of humanitarian aid to the besieged areas.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
