Badr Jamous, Secretary General of the Syrian Coalition, said that the Coalition’s negotiating team in Geneva II will hold a meeting tomorrow. The meeting will be held at the General Secretariat of the Syrian Coalition “to assess the international attitudes about Geneva and the details of the latest Security Council meeting, during which UN envoy Lakhdar Brahimi submitted a report on the course of the two rounds and an assessment of the outcome of the international telecommunications with regard to the peace conference. Jamous said that the second day of the meetings will be between the political committee and the negotiating team at Geneva II to assess the first round and the second round of the talks and to discuss the future prospects of a political solution. Mohamed Sabra, member of the negotiating team at Geneva II, said that “we are committed to a political solution if the conditions permit, as we are also committed to achieving the goals of the Syrian revolution whatever the means to build a free, democratic and pluralistic state. Sabra calls on the international community to to “put pressure on the Assad regime to force it to implement the UN resolutions that form the basis of the political process.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
