The Chargé d’Affairs at the Syrian Embassy in the State of Qatar, Dr. Bilal Turkiya, met the General Manager of Katara Cultural Village Foundation Dr. Khalid Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti and discussed with him ways of cultural cooperation on the sidelines of the FIFA World Cup that will be hosted by the State of Qatar in the coming weeks.
Mr. Turkiya was accompanied by fine artist Muntaha Al-Sallat and photojournalist Abdel Nasser Jairaudi. The two sides discussed Syrian cultural projects that may be presented during the cultural and heritage activities and events accompanying the World Cup.
Mr. Turkiya presented Al-Sulaiti with a painting by the Syrian fine artist, Muntaha Al-Sallat, in which she embodies one of the old quarters of Aleppo city. The painting won first place in the realistic art category in the London International Forum for Fine Art. (Source: SOC’s media department)
