Head of the Syrian Interim Government, Abdurrahman Mustafa, and the Vice President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Abdul Majeed Barakat, recently visited the local council in the town of Jarabulus. During the visit, they engaged with local notables and discussed the prevalent services and living challenges in the region.
Mustafa addressed the steps taken by the interim government to support new service projects in the region, maintain ongoing initiatives, and foster sustainable development as part of an overarching strategy to achieve security and stability.
Providing insights into the interim government’s efforts to enhance economic stability, support agriculture, and elevate living standards, Mustafa elaborated on the delegation’s inspection tour of the Productive Corporation for Agriculture and Livestock project, gaining firsthand knowledge of its stages of implementation.
Meanwhile, Barakat emphasized the crucial role of supporting the Syrian Interim Government and strengthening its institutions for effective governance in liberated areas. He highlighted that delegitimizing the Assad regime begins with empowering the interim government and its institutions.
Barakat further outlined the SOC’s action plan, underscoring its dual focus on the political sphere, emphasizing Syria’s significance on the global stage, and the service-oriented aspect, concentrating on bolstering liberated areas and their institutions for progress.
Accompanied by Defense Minister Hassan Hamadeh, the delegation conducted an inspection visit encompassing positions, front lines, and the leadership of the Second Corps of the Syrian National Army.
