Members of the Syrian Negotiations Commission met with bodies and personalities from the Syrian community in the Turkish province of Şanlıurfa to discuss the latest developments in the UN-led constitutional process in Geneva.
The meeting brought together Co-chair of the Constitutional Committee, Hadi Al-Bahra, and members of the Committee, Tariq Al-Kurdi, Muhammad Al-Ahmad, Abdul Majid Barakat, and Qasim Al-Khatib.
Participants stressed the importance of holding these meetings for consultation and exchange of views with Syrian citizens in the liberated areas and host countries, stressing also the need for the dialogue to be transparent and candid.
Al-Bahra said that these meetings “strengthen our hope and determination to work tirelessly to achieve our aspirations for a sovereign, free nation that guarantees our freedoms and preserves our dignity.”
He also stressed that the citizen’s security, safety, well-being, the right to a dignified life, justice and equality must be guaranteed by the constitution and the state. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
