The Syrian Ambassador to the State of Qatar Nizar Al-Haraki met with the Assistant of Director of Public Security Major General Abdullah Mohammed al Suwaidi at the headquarters of the Qatari Ministry of Interior in the capital, Doha.
The meeting brought together Director of the Department of Legal Affairs at the Syrian Embassy and Director of the General Passports Department in the State of Qatar, Major General Muhammad Ahmad Al-Ateeq Al-Dossary.
They discussed the conditions of members of the Syrian community in Qatar and the difficulties they are facing.
Al-Dossary welcomed the proposals submitted by the Syrian delegation as he promised to follow up on them. They discussed the possibility of urgently implementing them in accordance with the legal frameworks and procedures in place and in a way that serves the public interest.
He also expressed his readiness to provide all necessary assistance to Syrian nationals who have a special status in accordance with the directives of the country’s leadership.
Al-Hiraki expressed his sincere thanks to the Emir, government and the people of Qatar for their generous efforts and their noble and stances in supporting the Syrian people and providing them with all kinds of assistance. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
