Today Marks the Anniversary of the Death of Ismail Omar

Hawas Aqid, the representative of the Kurdish National Council in the Syrian Coalition, said that the commemoration of the fourth anniversary of the death of Ismail Omar, a former Kurdish leading figure, is a proof of the respect and reverence the nation harbors for its leading figures and heroes. “Ismail Omar was a true fighter for freedom and who gained the respect of all the Syrian national circles because and had always been a unifying factor for all the components of the Syrian people,” Aqid said. The commemoration was attended by representatives of the Syrian Kurdish Council, political parties, the youth movement, and some national figures who delivered speeches that praised the virtues of the Omar and his role in supporting the national unity.
