Ahmad Tomah, prime minister of the Syrian interim government, expressed the government’s desire to build a good relationship with the Islamic Front, and to reach understandings and consensus on the political line and the future of Syria. Tomah confirmed he had held many meetings with representatives of the Islamic Front, with the presence of Defense Minister Asa’ad Mustafa, Chief of Staff General Salim Idris, and the leadership of the Supreme Military Council the, and that they discussed many points. Tomah stressed that government project is “to move toward a new system based on civil, democratic, pluralistic state, while the Islamic Front intends to apply Sharia law.” He said that the interim government suggested to the Islamic Front to reach an understanding and work on the establishment of a civil, democratic, pluralistic state, where ballot boxes have their say.
