Salem al-Meslet, Spokesman for the Syrian Coalition, denounces the Assad regime’s cowardly vengeful attacks on unarmed civilians, children and women, stressing that these attacks are solely aimed at avenging the latest rebel defeats, especially in Idlib.
Terrible massacres were committed by the Assad regime yesterday when warplanes bombed a mosque in the town of Darkoush near Jisr al-Shughour, killing 20 civilians and wounding dozens more.
“We call upon the international community to stop ignoring Assad’s frenzied crimes and rein in his barbarity through establishing a no-fly zone to protect children and women. Assad’s continued targeting of unarmed civilians requires the international community to lift the ban on providing rebels with of anti aircraft weapons badly needed to fend off Assad’s air force that has been raining death and destruction all over Syrian for over four years.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
