Rebels regained control over several points near the town of Khan Toman in rural Aleppo today after fierce battles with regime forces and Hezbollah militias, while numbers of pro-Assad militants were killed yesterday evening during clashes with rebels in the neighborhood Suleiman al-Halabi in Aleppo. Regime forces carried out aerial shelling on the districts of Sakhour and Qadi Askar, killing and injuring a number of civilians. Meanwhile, Turkey has sent 15 tanks and a number of armored vehicles to military base near the Turkish border facing the Syrian town Kobani, following the intensification of the bombing on the town by ISIS militants who are besieging the town from three sides. More than 150,000 people fled the town and sought refuge in Turkey. Meanwhile, the administration of Bab al-Hawa border crossing said that the Turkish government had allowed Syrians to enter Turkey via the Syrian or Turkish refugee IDs for 11 days on the occasion of “Eid al-Adha,” and starting from September 29th.
