The 70th regular session of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) began at the office of the Syrian Interim Government in the Aleppo countryside on Saturday.
The General Assembly is set to assess the work reports of the presidential body, the Syrian Negotiations Commission, and the Syrian Interim Government, in addition to the reports of committees, working groups, and offices.
The General Assembly is also examining the latest on-ground and political developments, especially the ongoing military escalation of the Assad regime in the liberated areas, and the escalating use of suicide drones against civilians.
Furthermore, the General Assembly will evaluate the service and administrative reality in the liberated areas, in addition to following up on the implementation of the SOC’s vision for improving living conditions in northern Syria, especially by enhancing security, stability, and ensuring the independence of the judiciary. These efforts are expected to have a significant positive impact on the liberated areas.
