Coordinator of the Political Parties Committee in the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Abdullah Kaddo, presented the annual report of the Committee’s work to the General Assembly at its 63rd regular meeting. The report detailed the meetings and communications with Syrian political parties and movements, in order to build a unified vision for Syria and coordinate efforts with regard to the latest developments in the political situation in Syria.
Kaddo spoke about the importance of focusing on meetings with Syrian political parties and movements, and working on holding conferences and workshops that bring together everyone under the auspices of the SOC.
Kaddo pointed out that the Committee seeks to inform the Syrian political parties and movements of the latest developments in the political process and the results of the work of the Constitutional Committee in Geneva. It is also seeking to agree on joint steps to provide support for negotiations and implement a political solution in accordance with UN resolutions, especially the Geneva Communique of 2012 and UN Resolutions 2118 and 2254.
Kaddo put forward a set of proposals and recommendations, stressing the importance of continuing to pay attention to the role of Syrian political parties and movements, and supporting and coordinating with them.
