Abdulbasit Abdullatif, Secretary of the political committee in the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), has condemned the ongoing crimes committed by the PYD terrorist militia against civilians east of the Euphrates. The most recent incident involved the murder of two civilians, including a child, in the town of Dhiban, and the subsequent arrest of several individuals in the town of Al-Sour in the Deir Ezzor countryside.
Abdullatif emphasized that the atrocities perpetrated against civilians east of the Euphrates resemble the heinous acts carried out by the Assad regime over the past 13 years. He urged the international community to conduct transparent investigations into these daily crimes and hold the perpetrators accountable.
He called for an end to support for the PYD militia, advocating instead for empowering local residents to manage and safeguard their own affairs, thereby halting support for authoritarian models akin to the Assad regime.
Local news networks on Tuesday reported that the PYD terrorist militia executed 14-year-old Hamoudi Al-Hamidah and Samer Al-Qayran during a raid on the town of Dhiban in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
Additionally, the Syrian Network for Human Rights stated that the PYD terrorist militia apprehended seven civilians in the town of Al-Sour, north of Deir Ezzor, for participating in a demonstration against the militia.
