Member of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) General Assembly, Ayman Al-Asimi, said that the bombing that targeted civilians in rural Idlib on Friday is similar to the attack on Zakho in Iraq two days ago.
Al-Asimi pointed out that the Iranian militias and the PKK terrorist organization, which is behind the attack on Zakho, and the Russian forces that bombed civilians in rural Idlib are the regime’s agents and backers. He also said that those believe only in the military approach and bloodshed, and will only bring destruction and chaos for Syria and the region.
Al-Asimi stressed that the attack on Idlib is a heinous crime that requires a firm stance from the international community, adding that silence on this crime is a another crime and a green light for the regime and its backers.
The Russian air force on Friday committed a horrific crime in western rural Idlib, killing seven civilians, including four children from one family, and wounding many others, including children and women.
The Civil Defense said that the Russian jets targeted a poultry farm inhabited by displaced persons on the outskirts of the village of Al-Jadida and civilian homes on the outskirts of the village of Al-Janoudyia in western rural Idlib.
A few days ago, Russian jets also bombed the area of Jabal Al-Arbaeen and Horsh Msaibin near the town of Ariha south of Idlib.
