President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Hadi Al-Bahra, and his accompanying delegation met with the residents of the village of Juwaiq in the Afrin countryside, where they were briefed on the village’s conditions and the services available. They listened to the residents’ demands and needs.
Al-Bahra was accompanied by Vice President Abdel Majeed Barakat, Jihad Marae, member of the political committee and head of the Syrian Tribal Council, Muhammad Ali Issa, member of the political committee representing the Association of Independent Kurds, Najeeb Rahmoun, member of the General Assembly and director of the SOC’s office in Azaz, and Muhammad Sheikh Rashid, head of the local council in Afrin.
The villagers of Juwaiq expressed the challenges they face in their daily lives, highlighting the need for improved services, particularly in water and electricity supply, bread provision, and the establishment of a clinic or regular visits from a mobile clinic.
Al-Bahra attentively listened to the villagers’ concerns and pledged to work towards finding solutions. He also engaged in one-on-one discussions with several individuals, affirming the SOC’s commitment to rejecting any violations against the people. He emphasized ongoing efforts to strengthen judicial authority, enhance the role of civil and military police, and review legal systems to eliminate unjust laws and improve legal institutions.
Al-Bahra emphasized the ongoing work to address grievances and achieve justice for the people.
