President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) Nasr Al-Hariri, Secretary-General Abdelbaset Abdullatif and members of the political committee and General Assembly toured the IDP camps in northwestern Syria.
The SOC delegation met in the town of Al-Bab in rural Aleppo with the people who were displaced from eastern Ghouta and Dara’a province. The delegation ascertained the living conditions in the region as they checked up on the most urgent needs of the IDP. Al-Hariri stressed that providing basic services in the liberated north, especially for the IDP, is among the top priorities of the Syrian Interim Government. He also said that the SOC always raises the issue in its meetings with friendly and sisterly states.
The SOC’s delegation visited the new villages that were built near the town of Al-Bab to house the IDP as they praised the efforts being made and the services being provided in these camps. Al-Hariri also said that the SOC is communicating with states and international organizations to complete the transformation of all IDP camps into temporary concrete houses.
Al-Hariri called on the Syrian communities in the diaspora to contribute to the efforts to secure prefabs for the IDP in order to protect them from the harsh winter conditions. He stressed that it is a duty of all Syrians who can afford helping their fellow Syrians in the IDP camps. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
