Salem Al-Meslet, President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), extended his heartfelt condolences, on behalf of the SOC and the Syrian people, to Libya’s Prime Minister, Dr. Osama Saad Hammad, and the fraternal Libyan people, in the wake of the devastating hurricane that struck Derna city on Monday.
In an official letter, Al-Meslet conveyed the profound sadness felt by the Syrian people in the wake of this calamity. He expressed unwavering solidarity with the sisterly nation of Libya and reaffirmed his support for the Libyan people as they grapple with the dire consequences of this unfortunate incident.
Al-Meslet offered warm condolences to the families of the victims, while wishing a swift recovery for the injured. He also prayed for the safety and well-being of all our Libyan brothers and sisters, particularly in the affected regions. He beseeched God Almighty to bestow goodness, prosperity, and blessings upon the State of Libya, safeguard the fraternal Libyan people, and protect the Arab and Islamic nations.
In his letter, Al-Meslet emphasized that the hearts and sentiments of the Syrians are with the Libyan people and government as they confront this disaster. The collective hope is for Libya, our sister nation, to overcome this ordeal swiftly.
