President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Salem al-Meslet, and his accompanying delegation visited Suqur Al-Shamal Brigade of the Syrian National Army in the countryside of Afrin, Aleppo province, to ascertain the military and field conditions in the region.
Al-Meslet stressed that the Syrian National Army will support the displaced people in various Syrian regions, in addition to its primary role in protecting them from the criminality of the Assad regime and its terrorist allies who are trying to destabilize the liberated areas.
During the meeting, some of the problems in the region were raised and solutions were found in line with the desire of the families that were displaced from Homs, at a time when the displaced are living in dire humanitarian conditions.
Al-Meslet said that the goals of the Syrian people are the same. He stressed that the people’s recent messages, in which they reaffirmed they will not give up until the downfall of the Assad regime, are identical with the goals of the Syrian National Army, the SOC and all revolutionary entities. He stressed that the SOC will not deviate from the principles of the Syrian revolution.
Al-Meslet talked about the latest political developments related to Syria, noting that the SOC’s efforts are focused on pushing the political process forward to achieve political transition in line with UN resolution 2254 and hold the Assad regime accountable for its crimes.
