Member of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) General Assembly, Haytham Al-Shihabi, on Wednesday warned of a humanitarian disaster that may affect the people of Al-Bab town in rural Aleppo after the Assad regime cut off the water supply to the town.
Al-Shihabi pointed out that the Sharbaa pumping station, 18 km from al-Bab, and Ayn al-Bayda station, 13 km from the town and are located in the Assad regime-held areas, has stopped working.
He added that the SOC’s President, Salem al-Meslet, issued instructions for the issue to be urgently discussed with the Syrian Interim Government to find solutions to the water problem resulting from the Assad regime’s terrorist practices against the Syrian people.
