Secretary-General of the Syrian Coalition Abdul Ilah Alfahd reiterated calls on the international community to take all necessary measures to deter the Assad regime from committing more crimes in the city of Aleppo and its countryside.
In a visit to the Syrian Coalition’s Embassy in the Qatari capital Doha on Tuesday, Alfahd stressed the need for accountability of all war crimes in Syria, reiterating rejection of giving Bashar al-Assad any role in Syria’s future.
Since July 1st, nearly 900 civilians, including 285 children and 151 women, have been killed in the ongoing brutal onslaught by the Assad regime on Aleppo province. According to the Syrian Coalition’s media office, over 1,720 civilians have been killed between July 1-25, mostly in aerial attacks by the Assad regime and Russian forces.
Alfahd reaffirmed the Coalition’s commitment to a just political solution that meets the aspirations of the Syrian people for freedom, justice and dignity; one that leads to building a state based on the rule of law and equality. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
