The Office of Presidency of the Syrian Coalition stated that “following the speech of President Ahmad Jarba yesterday during the Arab Summit, in which he stressed that ‘our brethren Arabs should give us a seat amongst them as a minimal kind of support to the Syrian people,’ Saudi Arabia took the initiative in this context and the rest of the Arab countries responded positively, while Iraq and Lebanon showed reservation on the decision. A decision was officially made to give Syria’s seat in the Arab League to the Syrian Coalition as the sole representative of the Syrian people.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)
