The Secretary of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) political committee, Abdul Majeed Barakat, on Thursday said that the PYD terrorist militia continues its campaigns of raids, arrests and restrictions against civilians in the areas under its control. The PYD militia detained a number of civilians in the countryside of Raqqa and Deir Ezzor on Wednesday.
Barakat pointed out that the PYD militia’s terrorist practices aim to forcibly displace civilians and bring about demographic change, pointing out that these polices are replica of the Assad regime’s policies in the areas under its control.
According to local media, the PYD terrorist militia carried out a an arrest campaign in the Al-Khayyala camp for the IDP in the western countryside of Raqqa, arresting five young men.
The PYD militia also raided the clinic of the doctor Youssef Al-Omar in town of Dhiban in rural Deir Ezzor and arrested him along with three of his brothers and a patient.
The PYD militia launches arrest campaigns in the areas under its control on a daily basis. It also kidnaps children and underage girls for forced recruitment.
