The committee in charge of forming a new FSA High Military Command continues to hold consultations with military factions. Committee member Salah al-Hamwi affirms the new command will include the majority of rebel factions.
Hamwi said that the committee is keen to hear all ideas and suggestions made by leaders of the active rebel factions.
During its 22nd meeting held in Istanbul on 14 June 2015, the General Assembly decided to form a committee to oversee the formation of a new FSA High Military Command. The committee is composed of Haitham Rahma, Nasr al-Hariri, Ahmed Tinawi, Salah al-Din al-Hamwi , Wassil al-Shamali, Yousef Mahalli, Adnan Rahmoun, and Shallal Qaddo.
The committee was tasked with contacting and consulting with all rebel and revolutionary factions to name their representatives in the new FSA High Military Command and the FSA military council. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
