Syrian Coalition: Assad regime Derides Geneva II through its Intention to Negotiate with the “National Progressive” Front

Syrian Coalition Prepares to Commemorate the Third Anniversary of the Syrian Revolution
The Media Office of the Syrian Coalition has launched a campaign to commemorate the third anniversary of the Syrian revolution. The Media Office calls on the Syrian activists to take part in the making of the visual memory of the revolution through sending photographs taken by their cameras. The Media Office said that “we are looking for photos of the people behind the news coverage. So, please send us photos of you or your friends have taken reflecting any aspect of the uprising – whether from Syria, neighboring countries or abroad. We only ask that you have taken the photos or have the permission of the photographer to send them to us. Please ensure photos are high resolution and include a brief description.” The photos will be collected and published on the Syrian Coalition’s Instagram account, Instagram: @syriancoalition on March 15. Artillery Shelling on Al Muqalbiya Kills Five Civilians
Regime forces conducted artillery shelling on the town of Al Muqalbiya in rural Damascus, killing five civilians and wounding dozens. Fighters of the Islamic Brigades, destroyed 23 mm gun and killed a number of pro-regime forces in the town of Hitetet Al Turkman on Eastern Ghouta. Regime forces fired surface-to-surface missiles on Aqaba Hills near Yabroud north of Damascus, alongside aerial shelling by regime forces on the town, causing civilian casualties and material damage. The district of Darayya also came under shelling by regime forces, without reports of casualties. (Source: Syrian Coalition + LCC)

Car Bomb Explosion Kills 15 Civilians in Homs
A car bomb exploded today in Al Arman district of Homs, killing 15 civilians at least and wounding dozens. Regime forces renewed mortar shelling on Al Waer district, alongside violent clashes with the FSA on the outskirts of the district. Regime forces carried out artillery shelling on the town of Talbeesa north of Homs, causing civilian casualties and material damage. (Source: Syrian Coalition + Al Hayat)

FSA Destroys a BMP Vehicle in Naemeh near Dara’a
The Free Syrian Army destroyed a BMP armored vehicle belonging to regime forces on the outskirts of the town of Naemeh in rural Dara’a, alongside violent clashes between the Free Syrian Army and regime forces on the outskirts of the town. Regime forces carried out artillery shelling on Eastern Gharriyya, while targeted the civilians on the road linking the town of Jassem to Inkhel. (Source: Syrian Coalition + LCC)

Ongoing Barrel Bomb Attacks on Aleppo
Regime forces launched barrel bomb attacks on the neighborhoods of Sheikh Khader, Hanano, Mwasalat, the Industrial City, Sheikh Najjar and Al Rashidin in Aleppo, injuring dozens of civilians and causing massive material damage. Clashes broke out between the Free Syrian Army and regime forces on the perimeter of Aleppo Central Prison, while Assad’s air force launched aerial shelling on the town of Zorba south of Aleppo. FSA Advances on Regime Positions in Idleb
The Free Syrian Army and Islamic Brigades captured the Nummer and Ajeeb checkpoints north of the town of Khan Sheikhoun in rural Idleb after violent clashes with regime forces. Assad’s air force bombed the towns of Khan Sheikhoun, Sarmin and Saraqeb in rural Idleb, causing civilian casualties and material damage. (Source: Syrian Coalition + LCC)
