The General Assembly 19th meeting continues for the second day in Istanbul. The conferees discussed the document of basic principles of a political settlement to the Syrian conflict and reviewed the presidential plan and the General Secretariat’s report.
The document of the basic principles of the political settlement sets out roadmap for a political solution to the Syrian conflict, and is composed of 13 items detailing the transitional stage in Syria.
The presidential plan lays out the Syrian Coalition’s vision in the upcoming period and points to the public relations campaign the Syrian Coalition intends to launch through extensive visits to friendly countries and areas inside Syria to meet with leaders of religious and ethnic communities and rebel leaders.
The plan calls for the formation of neutral advisory oversight institutions and for the appointment of a presidential advisory staff. (Source: Syrian Coalition)
