On Monday, the first industrial and commercial exhibition was inaugurated in the town of Al-Bab in the countryside of Aleppo, with the participation of more than 80 commercial and industrial companies. The event saw significant official attendance from the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), the Syrian Interim Government, the local council in Al-Bab, and various civil and revolutionary organizations.
The exhibition was organized under the sponsorship of the Interim Government in cooperation with the Federation of Chambers of Industry and Commerce in the liberated areas.
The five-day exhibition aims to strengthen commercial relations and provide new opportunities for local and international companies. It features around 80 pavilions showcasing various industries and products, including food industries, detergents, clothing, furniture, and household items.
The exhibition also includes multiple factories, such as a medical equipment factory (a mini oxygen plant) manufactured in the liberated areas, specifically in the industrial zone in the town of Souran in the countryside of Azaz.
Participants will showcase their products in the first few days of the exhibition without allowing purchases. Shoppers will be able to buy products starting on the third day.
Permissions for crossing were secured for more than 500 investors and traders from Türkiye to the liberated areas, which significantly contributes to revitalizing the economic and industrial activities in the region through business deals and the construction of factories and industrial facilities.
The Syrian Interim Government is working on developing the liberated areas to provide an attractive investment environment for industrial and commercial projects, along with issuing necessary legislation to protect investors.
