Vice-President of the Syrian Coalition Nagham al-Ghadiri said that the Assad regime has been taking unlawful measures against dissidents, including the dissemination of their passport numbers, bringing false charges against them, or implicating dissident expatriates in legal issues such as issuing them false passports to obstruct their movements.
Ghadiri added that this method represents violation of international law, abuse of international bodies and security institutions, and a kind of terrorism as it aims to pressure and obstruct the affairs of Syrian refugees around the world.
Moreover, Ghadiri points out that leaving the Assad regime to control the fate of Syria and the region was and is still the source of evil and instability in the region, stressing that the solution begins by overthrowing the Assad regime and supporting the Syrian revolution.
“The international community must contribute to finding a solution to the crisis of Syrian refugees and to their need for papers of identification and travel documents through pushing for recognition of the Syrian Coalition by the Arab League and the United Nations, as it was already recognized by 114 countries as the legitimate representative of the Syrian people.
