The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) congratulated the Syrian people on the occasion of the Evacuation Day, stressing that Syria’s national day came as the culmination of a popular, political and revolutionary struggle that brought together all the Syrian people from all components and affiliations.
In a press release issued on Saturday, the SOC said that “as the Syrian people mark the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Evacuation Day, they raise the independence flag as a symbol of their revolution and a demonstration that revolution is a continuation of the inclusive national liberation project that our ancestors launched for the sake of freedom.”
“Today the Syrian people are fighting under the slogan “the Syrian people are one,” reaffirming that their struggle will continue for a new independence that brings this era of tyranny to an end.”
The SOC added: “Syria is calling upon all its sons and daughters: the challenges are many and changing. Our duty is to continue organizing work and mobilizing the efforts until the overthrow of the murderous Assad regime that brought Syria back under occupation, but this time a multi-occupation by Russia, Iran and multinational terrorist sectarian militias.”
The SOC reaffirmed the “determination and firm will of the Syrian people to regain true independence through which all the Syrian people will enjoy freedom, dignity and rights. The revolution will continue until victory.” (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
