The President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Salem Al-Meslet, recently met with the British diplomatic mission in the Qatari capital of Doha at the Syrian embassy. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the latest developments in the field situation and political process in Syria.
During the meeting, the attendees emphasized the urgent need to intensify efforts and work towards revitalizing the faltering political process that the Assad regime has been refusing to adhere to, instead persisting with a violent military approach. They also reiterated their commitment to implementing UN resolutions on Syria, particularly the Geneva Communique of 2012, as well as Resolutions 2118 and 2254.
Furthermore, the two sides discussed the urgency of confronting Iranian aggression and restraining its sectarian militias operating within Syria. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
