For the seventy-sixth consecutive day, peaceful demonstrations demanding political change and the overthrow of the Assad regime persisted in Karama Square at the heart of Suwayda city.
On Tuesday, demonstrators raised banners with various messages, including: “Who gave you the title deed to my country, do not reconcile, we will crush tyranny. We are the voice of the present and the future. The spirit of the revolution will not wane so long as the hearts of its participants yearn for victory. The more tyranny becomes arbitrary and unjust, the more it fears its subjects. Schools are a source of education, not a center for Al-Baath propaganda.”
Simultaneously, in the towns of Al-Tha’ala and Melh, hundreds of men and women participated in Monday’s demonstrations, confirming their popular demands for political change. Demonstrators displayed banners and slogans expressing their desires for freedom, dignity, and justice while expressing solidarity with humanitarian and civil issues in all regions of Syria.
