The PYD terrorist militia has detained approximately ten young men in the towns of Al-Hajna and Jadid Akidat in Deir Ezzor province, as part of an extensive campaign involving raids and arrests targeting the local population.
Activists have reported that the PYD militia conducted house-to-house searches in the town of Muhaimida, also in Deir Ezzor province, leading to the arrest of two individuals, one of whom had been associated with the militia.
Abdulbasit Abdullatif, the Coordinator of the Al-Jazira and Euphrates Committee in the Syrian Opposition Coalition, has voiced concerns over the current actions of the PYD terrorist militia. He emphasized that the militia is presently intimidating the local population and detaining anyone who opposes their authority.
Abdullatif underscored that the PYD militia refuses to permit genuine representation for the people of the region or allow them to self-administer their areas, mirroring the dictatorial tactics of the Assad regime.
Abdullatif called for international intervention to safeguard civilians in the eastern Euphrates region, urging the complete cessation of support for this terrorist militia and demanding accountability for the crimes they have committed against civilians.
