Haytham Rahmeh, Secretary-General of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), expressed profound gratitude to Türkiye for its compassionate gesture in allowing the entry of cancer patients from the liberated areas. He also acknowledged the resumption of the program that enables patients to receive treatment in Turkish hospitals.
Rahmeh commended Türkiye’s consistent and positive engagement with humanitarian matters, particularly concerning the Syrian people. The nation’s generosity continues to extend to thousands of patients from the liberated areas who access Turkish hospitals daily for essential medical care.
Highlighting the significant contributions of the Turkish government and its people in the humanitarian field and various other domains, Rahmeh emphasized the Syrians’ heartfelt appreciation for their support. Many Syrians sought refuge in Turkey after fleeing the atrocities of the Assad regime.
Praising Turkey’s resilience in the face of challenges, especially following the devastating February 6 earthquake that affected numerous Turkish provinces, Rahmeh emphasized the enduring friendly and fraternal bond between the Syrian and Turkish peoples.
