The Syrian Coalition expressed full support for the growing resurgence of the civil movement in the town of Maaret al-Nouman in rural Idlib. It stressed the importance of the peaceful civil movement continuing in all parts of Syria. The Coalition reaffirmed its condemnation of any attacks against civilian activists and defenders of the rights of the Syrian people.
“in spite of all the of killings, displacement, destruction, arrest, starvation and siege suffered at the hands of the Assad regime, Syrians have recently breathed a new life into the civil movement to convey a clear message to the world that they totally reject the survival of the Assad regime under any circumstances,” the Coalition said.
The Coalition added that “Syrians once again showed unshakeable commitment to the flag of the revolution and its goals, emphasizing they will not succumb to any attempts aimed at the continuation or the rehabilitation of the regime of tyranny and oppression.”
The revival of the civil movement, the Coalition stressed, offers an opportunity to reaffirm commitment to the revolution and strengthen the relationship between the revolution and its institutions. It also offers an opportunity to create the conditions necessary for the triumph of the revolution and to better represent the movement until its demands for freedom, justice and dignity are fulfilled.
