Member of the Syrian Coalition George Sabra said that the Iranian regime is responsible for the tragedy in Syria as it supports the murderous Assad regime. Sabra made his comments while he was participating in the “Ahwaz Struggle Conference” in the Danish capital Copenhagen. The conference was organized by Arab and Ahwazi movements to demand the independence of Ahwaz From the Iranian occupation.
Sabra stressed that his participation in the conference highlights the fact that the Iranian regime is now repeating its actions occupying more than one Arab country, including Syria. “We in Syria are suffering from the Iranian occupation, and the Iranian regime bears direct responsibility for the devastation that Syria has been suffering from for nearly five years.”
Sabra reaffirmed solidarity with “our brothers in Ahwaz.” He added: “The Iranian threat originated in Ahwaz and now has stretched as far as the Mediterranean coast. We therefore stress the importance of coordination between the forces of the Syrian revolution and its counterpart in Ahwaz.”
Furthermore, Sabra emphasized that stopping the Iranian regime is linked to defeating the Assad regime, adding that Iranian threat in the Gulf will be eliminated only when the Syrian revolution is victorious.
Addressing the Iranian people, Sabra said: “ The Iranian people are not the enemy. It is the Ayatollah regime that pitted Iran in a battle against the Syrian people causing the death of hundreds of thousands of people and the destruction of Syria.” (Source: Syrian Coalition + CNN Arabic)
