The Directorate of Documentation of Violations and Human Rights of the Syrian Interim Government has released its monthly report for May 2023, revealing that one civilian was killed and seven others were wounded in the liberated north of Syria during the past month.
In its comprehensive report, the Directorate held the Assad regime and its allies accountable for the death of one civilian and the injuries sustained by seven civilians, including one woman and three children.
The report highlights that the Assad regime forces and their allies carried out a minimum of 98 attacks on towns and villages in northwestern Syria using various weapons throughout May.
Additionally, the Directorate emphasized that the heinous crimes of enforced disappearances and systematic torture against thousands of Syrians in Assad regime detention centers, as well as the forced recruitment and exploitation of children by the PYD militia, continue to persist.
