President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) Nasr al-Hariri, sent a letter of condolence to Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoglu following the earthquake that struck the city of Izmir off the Aegean coast, killing 20 people and injuring 786 others.
“I would like to express our heartfelt condolences for the tragic loss of life as a result of the earthquake that struck off the Turkish Aegean coast,” the letter said.
Al-Hariri added: “There are no words that can describe our sorrow for the families of the victims. Our hearts and sympathy are with the Turkish people and government in these difficult times.” (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
