The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) condemned the attacks and acts of sabotage being carried out by the terrorist PYD militia against the offices of the Kurdish National Council and the educational and cultural centers in the town of Al-Qamishli.
In a press release issued on Thursday, the SOC said that “these acts aim to intimidate those in charge of those centers into closing their doors and to consolidate a tyrannical and oppressive environment.”
After the attack on the offices of the Kurdish National Council and torching them last Tuesday, PYD militants attacked an educational center in the town of Al-Qamishli and set it on fire. They also tried to attack another language center in the town.
The SOC reasserted it stands in solidarity with the Kurdish National Council in Syria and its rightful demands, stressing the dangers these militias pose and the need to expose them.
The SOC reiterated its calls for the launch of an investigation into these violations and holding those responsible accountable. International parties supporting this militia must assume their responsibilities with regard to the acts of the PYD militia against Syrian civilians. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
