At the behest of Hadi Al-Bahra, President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), an official delegation from the SOC extended condolences to the family of Ahmed Damo, a youngster from the town of Jindires in the Afrin countryside.
The delegation, comprising Najib Rahmoun, the coordinator of the SOC’s office in the Aleppo countryside, and SOC member Atef Zureiq, visited the family to express their condolences.
During the visit, the delegation assured Khaled Damo, the father of the deceased, that the SOC remains committed to closely monitoring the case with the judiciary and the police until justice is served. They pledged to ensure that the perpetrator, responsible for the killing of Damo’s son, faces appropriate punishment. Khaled Damo demanded the harshest penalty for the perpetrator.
Last week, Jindires was shaken by a brutal crime in which a young man fatally stabbed Ahmed Damo before dumping his body in a well. The incident stemmed from a dispute between the perpetrator and the victim’s father. Reportedly, the perpetrator had been employed at a bakery owned by the victim’s father but left his job following the altercation.
