A delegation from the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) recently met with a number of dignitaries, residents of the town of Ras al-Ayn in rural al-Hasaka province, and representatives of its civil bodies. The meeting was part of a visit by the delegation to the Syrian Tribal Council in the town.
Headed by SOC’s Vice-President, Abdulahad Astepho, the delegation included Abdel Basset Abdel-Latif, a member of the political committee, and Hussein Al-Raad, a member of SOC. During the meeting, the two sides discussed several critical issues related to improving the town’s reality, including the agricultural sector, and how to secure the necessary requirements for harvesting and marketing crops.
The educational process, obstacles, and challenges faced by students and educational staff were also discussed, with a focus on finding ways to overcome the obstacles that impede educational progress. The delegation and representatives also discussed the challenges facing the healthcare sector, including the shortage of specialized medical staff and accurate medical devices, as well as the severe pressure on clinics.
