A delegation from the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) visited the local council in the town of Jindires, where they met with the council’s head, Mohammed Al-Hassan. They discussed the service conditions, and living standards in the town, as well as the council’s needs and the challenges it faces in its work.
The SOC delegation included Najib Rahmoun, the coordinator of the SOC’s office in liberated areas, along with SOC members Atef Zreiq, Mohammed Sheikh Rashid, Asaad Allito, Mohammed Salem Al-Makhlaf, and Youssef Abbas.
The delegation reviewed the progress in service and administrative projects in the town, particularly the restoration of facilities and buildings damaged by the devastating earthquake that struck Syria and Türkiye in February of 2023.
The SOC delegation praised the work of the local council and its efforts to provide and secure essential needs to improve the medical, educational, and service conditions.
Additionally, the delegation visited the headquarters of the Military Police in Jindires and met with the commander, Lieutenant Colonel Abdel-Ilah Hamadin. They were briefed on the security situation in the town and the efforts being made to maintain security and stability, as well as to counter terrorist attacks carried out by PYD terrorist militia.
