Head of the National Commission for the Affairs of Detainees and Missing Persons, Yasser Al-Farhan, and Coordinator of the Syrian Opposition Coalition’s (SOC) Office in rural Aleppo, Ahmed Al-Shehadi, visited the headquarters of the Department of Military Ethics of the Syrian National Army (SNA) in the town of Azaz.
The SOC’s delegation toured the Department’s sections and offices as they were briefed on the progress of work. They met with Head of the Department, Hassan Al-Dughaim, and the Department’s staff.
The two sides reviewed the work mechanisms in the Department and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the Department and rights groups so as to develop these mechanisms and achieve their goal of upholding human rights, the values of the Syrian people, and the principles of the Syrian revolution.
Al-Farhan praised the Department’s efforts to uphold military ethics and promote respect for international law so as to ensure that the SNA expresses the ethics of the revolution.
Al-Farhan also praised the publications being issued by the Department, especially the Code of Conduct, books on training the combatants, raising awareness, upholding military ethics, and on education in global liberation.
