President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Nasr Al-Hariri, called upon the Arab states to play a more active role in Syria as key to putting an end to the Iranian presence in the country.
In comments posted on Twitter on Wednesday, al-Hariri said that the SOC is looking forward to a more effective Arab role that would contribute to putting an end to the suffering of the Syrian people and confronting the Iranian growing influence.
Al-Hariri said that the Iranian expansion is becoming more dangerous day after day to threaten the entire Arab region. He said: “The more effective the Arab role in Syria is, the smaller will be the role of Iran and its militias.”
He sent letters to the foreign ministers of Arab states calling for more cooperation to activate the Arab role in the political process in Syria and stressing and the need for the Arab League to work to find a political solution in the country. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
