Member of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Muhammad al-Hamdo, announced the establishment of large tents in the towns of Tal Abyad and Ayn al-Arous in Raqqa province to provide shelter for those whose homes were damaged by the recent earthquake in Türkiye and Syria.
Al-Hamdo emphasized the need for immediate assistance from international rescue teams in the northwest of the country to aid those still trapped under the rubble.
SOC member, Haitham al-Shihabi, reported cooperation with local councils and residents in the town of al-Bab in rural Aleppo to prepare temporary shelters for those affected by the disaster.
Al-Shihabi stated the magnitude of the disaster requires a concerted effort to save victims and support the affected population.
