Residents of Manbij, in eastern rural Aleppo, have continued their strike across most neighborhoods in protest against forced conscription and the ideologically driven curricula imposed by the PYD terrorist militia.
The town recently witnessed widespread demonstrations, with locals rejecting the educational materials distributed by the PYD militia at the start of the new school year.
Azad Othman, a member of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), expressed his support for the peaceful protests by the people of Manbij against the imposed curricula and forced conscription targeting young people.
Othman condemned the PYD militia’s persistent attempts to enforce ideological curricula on Syrian society and promote the ideas of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which is designated as a terrorist organization.
He stressed that these curricula aim to instill divisive and distorted ideas based on ethnic identity, threatening Syria’s national unity and undermining the community’s values and beliefs.
