President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Hadi Al-Bahra, along with his accompanying delegation, met with the Director of the Military Judicial Department, Brigadier General Arafat Hammoud, and the President of the Military Court, Jamal Al-Ashqar, along with several judges from the Military Judicial Department. The meeting took place in the presence of the Ministers of Defense, Finance, and Economy in the Syrian Interim Government.
Discussions revolved around the operations of the Military Justice Department, strategies for its development, the challenges encountered by the department, and its recent accomplishments.
Al-Bahra emphasized the importance of enhancing both military and civilian judiciary systems, improving judicial processes, and bolstering the legislative authority’s presence in liberated areas.
Hammoud elaborated on the recent initiatives aimed at enhancing the judicial institution, emphasizing the significance of enforcing penalties for misconduct and improving the working conditions for judges.
During the meeting, Al-Bahra actively listened to the interventions of the judges and their challenges, aiming to find solutions that would improve the judicial institution, thereby contributing to the advancement of conditions in liberated areas.
