A delegation from the Syrian Opposition Coalition on Saturday visited the town of Al-Bab in rural Aleppo during a tour in the liberated areas.
The delegation comprised SOC’s President Salem Al-Meslet and member of the political committee Badr Jamous.
Al-Meslet said: “We were honored today to meet with the local council and local notables in Al-Bab in rural Aleppo in the cultural center of the town. We stressed the need to represent the town in the SOC as the umbrella group of the revolution and its forces. We discussed the administrative and living conditions in the town, and ascertained the council’s work and service projects.”
Al-Meslet stressed the need to cooperate and commit to the goals of the revolution at all revolutionary entities.
Al-Meslet added that he had also visited the newly established Al-Ma’ali University in the town of Al-Bab, which had received the approval of the Syrian Interim Government. He stressed the need to support educational institutions which have always been a target of the criminal Assad regime’s war on the Syrian people.
The SOC’s delegation had suhur with the civil police in the town. They also toured several police checkpoints as they praised their great efforts in maintaining security and stability in the town.
The SOC has recently stepped its visits to the liberated areas in implementation of the reform plan, which aims to ensure real and adequate representation of the Syrian people.
