The Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) mourned its member and member of the Syrian Turkoman Council Muhammad Nabhan who passed away of coronavirus infection earlier on Saturday.
In a press release issued on Saturday, the SOC offered its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Nabhan and to his colleagues in the Syrian Turkoman Council.
Born in Homs province, Nabhan graduated from the Military Academy in 1983 and studied at the Faculty of Humanities and Psychology, majoring in legal studies.
Nabhan defected from the Assad regime’s army in 2012 to work alongside the Free Syrian Army in the town of Busra al-Harir in Dara’a province. He was also active in the political field as he was a cofounder of the Homs Provincial Council and the Syrian Tribal Council. He joined the Syrian Turkoman Council in 2016.
He later became member of the SOC’s General Assembly as a representative of the Syrian Turkoman Council until he passed away on Saturday. (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
