President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Salem al-Meslet, sent letters to the foreign ministers of Arab and Islamic countries, congratulating them on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and thanking them for continuing to support the noble cause of the Syrian people to achieve their just, legitimate demands.
Al-Meslet stressed the need to continue to support the Syrian people in their rightful demands to get rid of the murderous regime and to support the political transition in Syria in accordance with UN resolutions. He stressed that Al-Tadamon Massacre is not a unique or fleeting incident, but an illustration of an approach that the regime has followed since the start of the revolution. He also said that the regime committed thousands of massacres that are similar to Al-Tadamon Massacre and even more horrific crimes, which calls for immediate accountability.
Al-Meslet said that this massacre and its likes have shown that the regime can never be rehabilitated or its behavior changed, stressing that normalization of ties with the regime or seeking to rehabilitate is a major sin.
Al-Meslet expressed his wishes that the next Eid would bring with it peace and prosperity to the Arab and Islamic nations, praying that Allah Almighty preserves Syria and saves it from the oppressors, and to preserve all Muslim countries.
