President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC) Nasr al-Hariri, sent two letters of thanks to Mr. Philippe Goffin, Minister of Foreign Affairs and of Defense of the Kingdom of Belgium, and German Foreign Minister, Heiko Maas for their efforts to prevent Russia and China from veto a UN Security Council Resolution to renew an authorization for the delivery of food, medicine and other life-saving aid through the Bab al-Hawa border crossing.

He expressed his highest appreciation for the efforts exerted by the German and Belgian governments and people who warmly welcomed the Syrian refugees fleeing the crimes committed by the Assad regime and its terrorist militias.
Al-Hariri stressed the importance of reaching a real political solution in Syria in accordance with the UN resolutions, which will enable Syrian refugees to return to homeland.
“The National Coalition would like to affirm its confidence regarding your commitment to the Syrian people’s rights to freedom and dignity, and it underlines the critical importance of strengthening the efforts to stop the ongoing killing and terrorism against the Syrian people, to help them overcome this difficult plight and to build a state based on freedom, justice and good governance.” (Source: SOC’s Media Department)
