President of the Syrian Opposition Coalition (SOC), Hadi Al-Bahra, along with the Minister of Finance and Economy in the Syrian Interim Government, Abdul Hakim Al-Masri, and the Afrin Local Council, inspected the newly opened economic facilities in the town of Afrin in rural Aleppo. This included a visit to the new vegetables market, where discussions with the local council emphasized the market’s significance in the region.
The SOC’s delegation, consisting of Bahjat Al-Atassi, Abdul Basit Abdul Latif, Ahmed Bakkoura, Atef Zureiq, Muhammad Al-Khalaf, Muhammad Ali Issa, Muhammad Sheikh Rashid, and Asaad Allito, participated in the inspection. Muhammad Sheikh Rashid, Deputy Head of the Council and SOC member, highlighted the market’s importance, revealing its vast area of 50,000 square meters and the presence of 144 stores. Additionally, he noted the inclusion of essential facilities such as an administrative department, 25 service shops, a mosque, public bathrooms, a police station, an unloading yard, and a parking lot with a capacity of 220 lots.
Al-Bahra commended the construction of these new economic facilities in Afrin, emphasizing their positive impact on the region by providing essential food items to citizens, facilitating the marketing of agricultural and industrial products, and generating job opportunities. He also expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Afrin Local Council in delivering services to the community.
